World Bride Magazine Launch/Charity Event 2007

We at World Bride Magazine were pleased to host our launch/charity event at Edris Salon on November 12, 2007.

This event was for invited persons of the media, press, fashion industry and bridal industry. In addition to introducing ourselves to the market as the premier international, multicultural bridal lifestyle publication, we are using this as a platform to encourage the public to support the chosen charities by purchasing the magazine. $3.00 of every issue sold will be donated to the following organizations:

DIFFA
Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS is one of the country's largest supporters of direct care for people living with HIV/AIDS and preventive education for those at risk. Merging care and commerce,
supporters of DIFFA come from all fields of fine design and the visual arts, including: architecture, fashion design, interior design, photography and consumer product design.

YELE
Yéle Haiti is a foundation started by Grammy-Award winning musician, producer and social entrepreneur Wyclef Jean; that is changing thousands of lives in this desperately poor, but optimistic nation. Through Yéle Haiti, Wyclef uses music, sports and the media to reinforce projects that are making a difference in education, health, environment and community development.

"Deaf, Blind and Mute Institute Montfort"
A nonprofit institution which has for many years, been taking care of deaf, blind and mute children and youths living in poor neighborhoods in Haiti, providing them classical as well as professional education, food and shelter.

The American Cancer Society
With chartered divisions throughout the country and over 3,400 local offices, the American Cancer Society (ACS) is committed to fighting cancer through balanced programs of research, education, patient
service, advocacy, and rehabilitation.

The Gabriel Project
The Gabriel Project is named after three-year-old Gabriel Inyunye of Tanzania, East Africa, who died of intractable heart failure before funds could be raised to bring him to the United States for surgery. The Gabriel Project was founded by sixth grade teacher Mark J. Melemad in 1990. The objective of this nonprofit organization is to provide life saving heart surgery to a child from an area where such surgery is not available.

African American Women in Cinema
Since 1997, AAWIC is committed to enlighten, empower, educate and expand the minds of women all over the world in the form of film and video.

These organizations assist in answering "THE CALL" to support those in Africa and around the world who are in need of our assistance. World Bride Magazine wants to support by making the commitment to donate the
funds raised to help make a difference. One bride, Alexandria Marie Gomes, our previous winner of our Real Bride Real Beauty, has already made a difference and has chosen to have her guest make a donation to
some of her chosen charities instead of giving her gifts.

We are answering Bono's call for assistance in July's issue of Vanity Fair's Africa Issue. The Bridal Industry is 120 billion dollars strong. World Bride Magazine is getting involved and encouraging our brides, our advertisers and partners to make a difference.
