Looking your photo best is key on your wedding day. If you've never worn makeup before, today is definitely the day to put your best face forward. How do you go about looking your best? I am a firm believer in going to the professionals. With so many experts out there how do you find one that is right for you? Shop till you drop! Interview makeup artists and hairstylists like you do all your other vendors. Ask to see their books. Each makeup artist and hairstylist has one. It is their resume. Get references. Get a trial. This is usually 50 percent of what it will cost you on the actual day. Bring pictures of what you think you want so that you and your professional can come to some sort of agreement on what is a realistic conclusion. We all can't look like Halle Berry, Beyonce or JLo, but we all can try.
Your Crown and Glory - Your hair
Hair care is key in this aspect. If you have not taken care of your hair in the years before your big day, you cannot expect a miracle to happen the night before you walk down the aisle. If you've been a beach blonde, platinum blonde or have had overly processed hair all year long, bouncy, behaving hair is nearly impossible. Hair care takes time and you must cooperate with your stylist, but if your stylist allowed you to go bleach blonde without getting proper hair care, this would be a good time to find a new one. There are great products on the market. Use them.
