Just follow these simple guidelines to eating smart…
Before you arrive at any function drink at least two full glasses of water or have a protein drink. Why you may ask? Simple, your stomach will get a message that it is being fed this will then prevent you from being tempted to pile your plate.
- Stay away from heavy carbohydrates such as white rice, potatoes, bread, pasta and sodas.
- Eat small portions, to do so try sampling small appetizers.
- Concentrate on foods with protein value (chicken/turkey, fish, and vegetables). When choosing chicken and turkey opt for white meat it contains less fat then dark meat.
- Fried foods give a false sense of not being full, so stay away!
- Wear clothing that fits a little snug around the waist so that it will serve as a reminder when you start to over do it.
- Drink plenty of water while enjoying your meal.
- Skip the soft drinks and avoid the alcoholic beverages. But, if you do partake opt for light beers or a glass of white wine. Once you arrive back home drink one full glass of water; the water will flush your system so that you can be cleansed and recharged.
Managing your eating habits will enable to you easily resume with your regular eating and exercise routine. There is no need to deny yourself the enjoyment of socializing with your family and friends, the key is to just do so in moderation. With a healthy perspective and strong determination you will reach your goals just in time for your wedding day! |
